Anonymous	picture on page 14 CHNov.'07 - "Slow Lane" Oct 22 2007, 2:35 PM EDT I know those 3 "domes" on the armoire in Karen Weir-Jimerson's home are not storage jars, but what are they? I got one from a friend who was going to throw it out but I thought it had purpose. Have taken it to a couple of antique stores and no one knows what it is. Anonymous	RE: picture on page 14 CHNov.'07 - "Slow Lane" Feb 12 2008, 3:56 PM EST You have a great cloche...cloches (French for bell...as in Bell Jar, Sylvia Plath's book and also the name of a hat syle of the 1930s). in color are very rare as they were just ordinary garden accessories. The only one I have found that is not a repro (yes, they make repros of the cloche, also) is the one I bought for too much money ($15..too much for a dealer!) at a flea market because it was French and in the reverse swirl pattern which I am addicted to...I treasure it.
