Activities for this event will accelerate the heartbeats of the casual and die-hard auto enthusiast November 1-4. Opening with the Hilton Head/Savannah Historics, Thursday and Friday, Nov. 1 and 2, the Concours offers travelers a link to historic Savannah at Roebling Road Raceway, just 30 minutes from Hilton Head. Hilton Head/Savannah Historics will offer professional and amateur race car drivers a final attempt at points towards their racing season. And, if visitors are looking for an up-close and personal experience, strap on a helmet and ride alongside a driver…white knuckles and all. Weekend Motoring Festival-goers will be treated to the eye candy of hundreds of automobiles. Italian sports cars, a variety of race cars including JCB’s land speed record-breaking Diesel Max, a Cadillac El Dorado Biarritz Golden once owned by recording artist Elton John and the smallest car in the world will all be on display. New to this year’s show are vintage motorcycles, antique ambulances and fire trucks and an exhilarating NASCAR experience. Honoring the extravagance of the original Concours of the 1920’s, the event brings fashion to the forefront throughout the long weekend by featuring vintage couture combined with today’s hip fashions from the Island’s trendiest new boutique. Another highlight is Saturday’s multi-million-dollar auto auction -- an enthralling activity for serious collectors as well as casual fans of fine cars. Even if you’re not bidding, the auction is a must-see for drama and excitement. Sixth Annual Hilton Head Concours d'Elegance & Motoring Festival Featuring something different every day: Hilton Head/Savannah Historics vintage race event, a sports and classic car auction with The Worldwide Group, a feature of Italian Cars on Saturday, November 3, a unique display of antique fire engines and ambulances, an exhibit of vintage motorcycles and the "Best in Show" competition on Sunday, November 4 with over 150 entries.
