Lauralton to celebrate 18th annual Christmas in the Mansion Nov. 29-Dec. 2 Lauralton Hall’s 18th annual Christmas in the Mansion—twice nominated as one of the top 100 events in the nation—will take place Nov. 29 to Dec. 2 at 200 High St., Milford, Connecticut, with the school transformed into a holiday haven of gift boutiques, bake shops and a gourmet café. Themed “Silver Bells,” hours for this always-anticipated extravaganza are: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 As in past years, a preview gala from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, will offer a festive evening of cocktails, hors d’ouevres, raffles and exclusive “ahead-of-the-crowd” shopping opportunities. Tickets for this reservation-only evening are $50 and must be purchased in advance. Built around an 1864 Gothic mansion, Lauralton Hall’s 30-acre campus is located just blocks away from downtown Milford and the Milford train station. Founded in 1905 by the Sisters of Mercy, it is the oldest Catholic college-preparatory high school for girls in Connecticut. More than 400 students from throughout New Haven and Fairfield counties and beyond are currently enrolled. An open house for potential students and families will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28. Entrance exams will be offered at 8 a.m. on two Saturdays, Nov. 10 and 17. Fee is $50.
