Celebrating the Children of the World
Twins Hall of Famer Harom Killebrew to Speak at Charity Fund Raiser
Minneapolis, MN, On November 29, Harmon Killebrew will be the keynote speaker at the God’s Child Project’s annual “Celebrating the Children of the World” dinner. The dinner will be held at the Holiday Inn Select – International Airport Hotel in Bloomington. With a social hour beginning at 6:00 P.M., there will be plenty of time for Killebrew to share not only his support, but also his signature. The goal of the evening is to raise not only funds, but also awareness about the GOD’S CHILD Project and everything it does for the ever-growing global community. With Hall of Famer, Harmon Killebrew on board to support the cause, and community members from across the globe showing up, it promises to be a great evening. Maybe it was Killebrew himself who said it best, "Life is precious and time is a key element. Let's make every moment count and help those who have a greater need than our own." Tickets to this once in a lifetime experience are $50. Social hour begins at 6:00PM with dinner and speaking to follow. The event will take place at the Holiday Inn Select - International Airport Hotel, 3 Appletree Square, Bloomington, MN. For more information, please contact Katherine Halloran at 701-255-7956 or at mailto:sac@gcpnc.org or visit us online at http://gcpnc.org/dinner.html. During the past 16 years, the North Dakota-based GOD'S CHILD Project has provided foster homes, legal support, medical care, food, clothing, and education to over 24,000 children in Guatemala, El Salvador, Africa, and to several communities across the Upper Midwest. "Ninety-six percent of funds raised are used to support our projects. Events such as our annual dinners are essential for the success of these programs," Executive Director, Jena Gullo said.
