California Country Folk Art Fair
The California Country Folk Art Fair was established in June 2001 by Tom Baker, promoter of the California Country Antiques Show. Tom invited two folk artists, Tana Taylor (Prairie Primitives Folk Art) and Karen Phillippi to show their work at the Los Altos History Museum, located across the parking lot from the antique show.
Over the years, the Folk Art Fair has grown, and you are now likely to find 5 or 6 folk artists showing, selling (and sometimes demonstrating!) their work at this event. Tana is still a regular exhibitor at this Fair, and has been joined by Emily Hollinger and several other artists. Karen is taking a break from the show for awhile, but we hope she joins us again soon!
The California Country Folk Art Fair is held in the courtyard of the Los Altos History Museum which is located on San Antonio Road in Los Altos, California. If you're attending the California Country Antiques Show, look across the parking lot for the barn-shaped building -- that's the Museum -- the Folk Art Fair is in the enclosed courtyard adjacent to the Museum. The California Country Folk Art Fair is open to the public and admission is FREE!
The next California Country Folk Art Fair will be held on October 21st, and the hours are 9am to 4pm.
