My name is Tana Taylor and I am a primitive folk artist living in Northern California. I make cloth dolls and other goodies that look
very old -- in fact, I try to make them look as if they've been around since the Gold Rush!
I sell my work at several events in the Sacramento and San Francisco areas. I am looking for some new shows, events, and fairs for 2008. Here's where I sold in 2007:
- Amador City Antiques Fair (end of September). If they hold this event in 2008 -- and the booth fee doesn't go up too much -- I'll be there again!
- Lodi Street Fair (1st Sunday in May & October). I'll probably skip the May event this year because my friend with whom I share a booth will be out of town. On the other hand, if you sell country/primitive antiques and would like to have a small display of my primitive folk art in your booth, please contact me! :-)
- California Country Folk Art Fair, Los Altos (2nd Sunday in June & 3rd Sunday in October). At both of these shows in 2007, traffic was down considerably from past years. I expect to give it another try in 2008, if only because of the wonderful country antiques show being held "next door" at the same time!
- Bird in Hand Country Christmas Fair, Los Altos (1st Saturday in December). Traffic has dropped here as well ... but I'll probably give it at least one more try in 2008 ... maybe they'll advertise to more than their mailing list next year!
